Uzbekneftegaz has carried out technical work in order to improve the performance of Vostochny Berdak gas treatment facility, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekneftegaz.
Natural gas produced from the fields of the Ustyurt gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz is processed at the Vostochny Berdak and Arslon primary gas treatment units.
Natural gas is purified from liquid hydrocarbons, formation waters, and mechanical mixtures through these installations and then is supplied as raw gas to the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC and the Ustyurt gas chemical complex.
Technical measures were taken in order to further improve the operating parameters at the first technological branch of Vostochny Berdak gas treatment facility, as well as to extend the life of the turbo-expander unit.
In particular, a filter was installed on the gas pipe of the compressor of this unit. The installation of an additional filter prevented the emergency braking of the turbo-expander units and the reduction of gas condensate, which could be lost as a result.
The Vostochny Berdak gas treatment facility is located on the territory of the Muynak region of Karakalpakstan. The first technological network was launched in 2002. In 2005–2018, technological networks 2, 3 and 4 were launched under the equipment expansion project.
