Italy decreases crude petroleum oil import from Kazakhstan year-on-year

Kazakhstan has exported 263,473 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 79.9 million euros to Italy in August 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 2.8 million tons of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals worth 852.4 million euros to Italy from Jan. through Aug. 2020.

Thus, the August volume of petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Italy is 13.1 percent less than in volume compared to July 2020 (303,469 tons) and is 51.6 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (545,218 tons).

August’s export value is also 11.5 percent more than in July 2020 (90.4 million euros) and is 68.1 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (250.8 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy amounted to $5.2 billion over the first eight months of 2020, compared to $6.7 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Italy amounted to $4.6 billion over the period from January through August 2020, compared to $5.5 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Italy amounted to nearly $607.1 million over the reporting period, compared to $1.2 billion during the same period of 2019.
