Gasoline and diesel imports to Georgia increase

Imports of gasoline and diesel fuel to Georgia amounted to 743,700 tons from January through August 2021, which is 27,6 00 tons or 3.9 percent more than in the same period last year (716,100 tons), Trend with reference to the Union of Importers of Oil Products of Georgia.

“Of these, gasoline imports amounted to 381,300 tons (an increase compared to the same period last year by 12.9 percent), and diesel fuel imports - 362,400 tons (a decrease compared to the same period last year by 4.2 percent).

Form January through August 2021, imports of RON-91 gasoline amounted to 246,700 tons (64.7 percent); premium RON-95 - 127,500 tons (33.4 percent); Gasoline RON-98 super - 7,100 tons (1.9 percent).

Form January through August 2021, the largest volume of imports of gasoline and diesel fuel fell on Turkmenistan - 169,700 tons, which is 22.8 percent of the total imports. Next come: Russia - 147,100 tons; Azerbaijan - 138,200 tons; Romania - 131,000 tons; Bulgaria - 113,100 tons; Greece - 20,600 tons; Turkey - 12,700 tons; Italy - 5,600 tons, Kazakhstan - 2,500 tons, etc.
