Deposits value slightly up in Kazakhstan

The value of deposits in banks of Kazakhstan amounted to 8.711 trillion tenge in July 2019, which is 0.3 percent more than in June 2019, Trend reports with reference to the data of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Thus, 825.19 billion tenge of the sum account for tenge denominated demand deposits and current accounts in banks, which is 0.3 percent less than in June. In turn, foreign currency denominated demand deposits and current accounts equaled 274.116 billion tenge, which is 4.2 percent less than in June.

The value of tenge denominated conditional deposits stood at 3.501 billion tenge in July, which is 6.5 percent more than in June, whereas foreign currency denominated conditional deposits equaled 5.429 billion tenge (decrease of seven percent).

Furthermore, the value of tenge denominated time deposits exceeded 3.96 trillion tenge, which is 2.3 percent more than in June, whereas foreign currency denominated time deposits exceeded 3.642 trillion tenge in July, which is 1.3 percent less than in June 2019.
