BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Azerbaijan allocated about 200 million manat ($117.6 million) to repay its internal and external debt in the first quarter of 2023, the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan told Trend.
The ministry pointed out that funds worth 27.1 million manat ($15.9 million) on interest and 170.8 million manat ($100.4 million), of which 31.1 million manat ($18.2 million) on the main debt and 139.6 million manat ($82.1 million) on interest were allocated to cover the domestic debt.
"Funds in the amount of 198 million manat ($116.4 million) from January through March 2023 were allocated to repay the state debt, which is 150.9 million manat ($88.7 million) less than in the same period of 2022," the ministry said.
The state budget for 2023 provides for expenditures worth 1 billion manat ($588 million) to repay the state debt and obligations under it.
