Russian IT company works on digitalization of fuel, energy complex in Uzbekistan

ICS Holding, a Russian diversified IT group, is working on digitalization of the fuel and energy complex in of Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

The discussion of the digital transformation project of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) of Uzbekistan took place during a meeting of the country's Energy Minister Alisher Sultanov with the leadership of the ICS Holding.

It was noted at the meeting that currently a number of activities are being carried out in order to develop the digitalization of the FEC.

Thus, the process of implementing the Strategy for fuel and energy supply of Uzbekistan for 2020-2030 and a comprehensive program for digitalization of the electric power industry for 2019-2021 are underway, which will be aimed at automating enterprise resource planning (ERP) processes and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).

In addition, the "Implementation of an automated electricity metering and control system (AEMCS)" project is being implemented at an accelerated pace in the country. It is reported about 5.5 million consumers were connected to the Automated Electricity Control and Metering System that by the end of 2020.

Also, a similar system - ACGMS (automated commercial gas metering system) is being implemented for automated accounting and control of natural gas consumption.

Uzbekistan is also attracting leading international companies with deep industry expertise and understanding of global trends.

One of these key partners is ICS Holding, a Russian diversified IT group operating in the digitalization market of large industrial enterprises, with which an agreement was signed in December 2020 for the provision of services for the development of a concept and a roadmap for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex in Uzbekistan for period 2021-2025.

The tasks of this Russian company include the analysis of the best world automation practices and the possibility of their applicability to the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan, as well as the development of an operating model for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex.
