Load/unload operations at Iran’s Charak port decreases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Charak port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 10 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 86,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the 4th month. Of this amount, 69,300 tons were loaded, and 16,700 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 15,500 tons of cargo were exported through the Charak port during the reporting month.

At the same time, about 53,800 tons of cargo were loaded and 16,700 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage within the 4th month.

Some 7,430 tons of essential products, 56,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,890 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 83 tons of chemicals, 18,700 tons of small and assorted goods, and 1,020 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Charak port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 12.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 4th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.14 million tons were loaded and 6.19 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
