ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 11. The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, instructed to prepare new proposals to increase the destinations and the number of flights carried out to foreign countries, as well as proposals to improve the conditions for the purchase of air tickets through the digital system, Trend reports.
This instruction was given by the head of state at a government meeting to the Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Mammetkhan Chakiyev, during his report on the results of the country's transport sector.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of further increasing the pace of passenger and cargo transportation as well as providing high-quality and safe services on internal and external routes of the country.
Furthermore, at the meeting, the head of state noted the importance of activating the digital system when accepting applications for cargo transportation by road, sea, and rail, as well as using the Turkmenbashi International Seaport at full capacity.
Meanwhile, the development of the transport sector in Turkmenistan is a key element of the strategy of modernization and diversification of the country's economy. The country is actively working to improve and expand its transportation infrastructure in various directions.
