BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. The total amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan amounted to about $7.5 million last week, Trend reports citing Turkmenportal.
Entrepreneurs from Türkiye, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries purchased aviation kerosene and polypropylene produced at the Turkmenbashi Oil Processing Complex on the exchange.
Businessmen from India purchased cotton yarn in the amount of 1.1 million Turkmen manats ($313,300).
Representatives of the business circles of Turkmenistan purchased high-density polyethylene and technical sulfur for the domestic market in exchange for a total amount of more than 11.9 million Turkmen manats ($3.3 million).
A total of 17 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
