Turkmenistan's chemical plant successfully fulfills production plan

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 1. The Turkmenabat chemical plant, named after Saparmurat Niyazov and located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, produced 270,500 tons of phosphorous mineral fertilizers in the whole of 2023, while fully fulfilling the plan, Trend reports.

According to official data, the plant produced about 24,000 tons of mineral fertilizers in December last year alone.

Furthermore, over the past year, the Turkmenabat chemical plant produced 94,400 tons of sulfuric acid, which accounted for about 4,800 tons in December.

Meanwhile, the plant manufactured 270,500 tons of phosphoric mineral fertilizers and 111,000 tons of sulfuric acid in 2022 alone, exceeding the production plan by 20.8 percent.

The Turkmenabat chemical plant stands as the sole production facility in Turkmenistan dedicated to manufacturing phosphorus fertilizers essential for enhancing crop yields, including cotton, grain, and various agricultural production.
