Uzbekistan’s 2021-2023 investment program approved

Uzbekistan’s investment program for 2021-2023 will provide for the development of centralized and decentralized investments in the amount of 928.7 trillion soums ($88.7 billion), including $37.5 billion of foreign investment, Trend reports citing the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on measures to implement the investment program for 2021-2023.

The investment program for 2021-2023 includes the consolidated forecast parameters for the development of capital investments in 2021-2023, as well as the forecast parameters for the development and attraction of investments and loans in 2021-2023.

The program includes a targeted program for the commissioning of large production facilities and facilities in 2021, which provides for the creation of 226 new production facilities and more than 34,000 jobs.

The document also approved a consolidated targeted program for the development of investments and loans in 2021, as well as the forecast indicators of its quarterly execution, a targeted program of investment projects implemented in 2021 with the attraction of foreign loans under the state guarantee of the country, as well as with the attraction of foreign direct investment and loans;

In addition, a list of investment projects for which the development, coordination, and approval of pre-project and project documentation in 2021 is required and a list of promising investment projects to be developed in 2021 have been approved.

Earlier the President of Uzbekistan in his message to parliament set the task to implement investments in the amount of $23 billion in 2021.
