BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 7. Uzbekistan significantly increased the production of kaolin (clay sedimentary rock) from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

During the reporting period, large enterprises of Uzbekistan produced a total of 321,800 tons of kaolin. The growth rate compared to the first seven months of 2021 was 168.9 percent.

The largest share in production from January through July this year fell on the share of the Tashkent region - 321,800 tons.

Uzbekistan is rich in minerals such as gold, kaolin, uranium, copper, coal and phosphates.
