BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 28. Slovakian Deputy Prime Minister Tomas Taraba declined to participate in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games, citing his dissatisfaction with the opening ceremony, Trend reports.
The politician told Tomas Taraba about this on his personal Facebook account.
"I was supposed to represent Slovakia at the closing ceremony. But for the normal world, these Olympics will forever remain a symbol of abomination, which abuses the beauty of sports and turns it into progressive political theater. That is why I decided not to participate in the closing ceremony," the politician said.
