Eurovision 2012 Turkish representative Can Bonomo has celebrated his birthday in Baku.

Bonomo expressed his joy over the fact that he celebrates his birthday in Baku at a press conference held after the first rehearsal in Baku Crystal Hall on Wednesday.

"I am very happy to celebrate my birthday in Baku," Bonomo said.

Bonomo said he is proud to represent Turkey at this prestigious competition.

"There are many talented artists in Turkey. And the fact that I represent Turkey doesn't mean that I am more talented that they are. And I want to thank everyone who chose me," Bonomo said.

The Turkish representative said it is his second visit to Baku, and that he loved this city. He also congratulated all those who managed to build a big building of Baku Crystal Hall in a short time.

Bonomo told about his plans for the future after the Eurovision and said he is going to release a second album and give a concert after the competition.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall. The arena has a capacity for up to 23,000 spectators. Approximately 16,000 people will be able to attend each of the three Eurovision Song Contest live shows.

The semi-finals of the contest will be held on May 22 and May 24, while the final is on May 26. The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
