Additional Live Person Being Rescued from Collapsed Building in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / An additional live man is being rescued from the ruins of the collapsed sixteen-storey building in Baku, a Trend correspondent reports from the scene.

Sakit Feyziyev, 25, is a resident of the Astara region Arjivan village. He was provided with medical attention. According to the physician, Feyziyev's condition is satisfactory. His leg is still trapped in the ruins and is currently being extracted. The man will be freed from the ruins soon.

A multi-storey building being constructed at the corner of Nakhchivani and Mukhtarov streets in Baku collapsed on 28 August.

According to unofficial reports, eight people have been rescued from the ruins. All are being delivered to the hospital. According to official reports, five dead and four people have been extracted from the ruins.
