Sub-regional cooperation issues are to be discussed at an informal summit in Aktau in which the Azerbaijani, Russian, Kazakh and Turkmen Presidents will take part, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Latif Gandilov, told Trend News.

Sub-regional cooperation issues are to be discussed at an informal summit in Aktau in which the Azerbaijani, Russian, Kazakh and Turkmen Presidents will take part, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Latif Gandilov, told Trend .  

"We are bordering countries. Our leaders meet up with each other at informal meetings. As we have common borders, there are many common issues we need to be discussing," Gandilov said.

He said that the Aktau summit's agenda includes border and sub-regional cooperation.

"Energy and transport questions are planned for discussion," the diplomat said.

The ambassador said that the informal meeting will include discussions of any issues that arise between the countries.

It has already been reported that the Kazakh, Azerbaijani, Russian and Turkmen Presidents will participate in the informal summit to be held in Aktau on September 11-13.
