Azerbaijan prepares special document on improving quality of education

A special document has been prepared and approved by the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers on introducing education to innovate, develop and improve the quality of education in the country.
The document envisages providing additional courses after school and university, Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov said at a press conference on the issue.
"Each of us needs to receive additional education in one way or another," Mardanov said.
The document, whose main goal is to improve the professional skills of teachers, has already been distributed among teachers for review.
The minister also noted that today the issue of teacher training at Azerbaijani colleges and universities remains a problem. He noted that Azerbaijan intends to use global experience in developing these additional educational courses.
