Registration of foreigners and stateless persons by residence started in Azerbaijan from April 1 after the introduction of correspondent amendments to migration legislation, the deputy head of the State Migration Service (SMS) Parviz Musayev said on Thursday.
According to Musayev, over 1000 immigrants have been registered by residence by now and work in this direction is being continued.
Foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan by visa are being registered by SMS regional offices for the period indicated on the visa and foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan without a visa for a 90-day term, the Deputy Chief of SMS said.
Foreigners can submit filled in application forms to the SMS by mail or personally.
