Ismayilova/ On March, 26, Michael Brumberg, the Mayor of New York City organized a reception in honour of the Azerbaijani National Holiday Novruz Bayrami ("Spring Coming Holiday"), a source in the Azerbaijan Representative Office to UN based in the U. S. largest metropolis informed Trend.
Representatives of Iranian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Afghani, Pakistani, and Kurdish diasporas were amongst the guests at the reception. The New York Mayor pledged to mark this holiday every year. He particularly marked the participation of the America-Azerbaijan Society, led by Mrs. Tomsris Azeri in the organization of the event.
The reception hall was decorated appropriately in accordance with "Novruz" traditions. The Ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Turkey Pakistan to UN were also invited to participate in the arrangement. Azerbaijan's Ambassador to UN, Agshin Mehtiyev, attended the event.
