Iran will have an oil export terminal near the Indian Ocean with the launch of the Jask Oil Terminal, administrator of Jask oil terminal, Vahid Maleki said, Trend reports citing Pars Oil and Gas Company’s website.

The progress of construction of the terminal has reached 95 percent, Maleki said.

The official added that this oil terminal will help to open a new page in Iran's energy trade.

“The first floating system Single Point Mooring (SPM) weighing of 800 tons has been installed in Jask Oil Terminal. About 11,000 cubic meters (about 69,100 barrels) of light and heavy oil and gas condensate can be exported per hour through this terminal,” he said.

As reported, a plan is being implemented to export 1 million barrels of crude oil daily through Iran's Jask Oil Terminal. It is planned to install 6 submarine pipelines, crude oil metering systems and 3 floating systems (SPM) at the Jask oil terminal in Iran.

In the first stage, 1 metering system, two 36-inch pipelines and one floating system will be put into operation for the operation of this terminal.
