The 3rd international exhibition of wine and alcohol WINEXPO 2009 will be held in the exhibition centre Expo Georgia on June 4-6. More than 50 organizations will present the following products and services at 38 stands of the pavilion: wine, sparkling wine, alcoholic beverages, manufacturing plants, wrapping technology, ingredients, fertilizers, equipment care for grapes, plants, accessories, etc.
Invited guests will meet with highly qualified specialists and consultants.
Exporters, importers, distributors, retailers, trade associations, etc. from different countries will partake at the exhibition.
A meeting with experts from the trade department will be held through the support of the U.S. Embassy on June 4. Reports on the following topics will be made at the meeting: U.S. import regime for wine, the role of tax and trade bureau in order to avoid proceeds to the American market of counterfeit wines, which benefit the Georgian membership in the World Wine Trade Group, etc.
An international tasting competition with participation of foreign and local experts will be held on June 5. Georgian wine, as well as foreign products will be evaluated at the testing.
52 brands of wines of three categories: red, dry, white and red semi-dry will be presented at the tasting.
The best product will be awarded medals and diplomas. Tasting will be held under the auspices of the Department of vines and wines of Georgia Samtrest.
