In January-August Azerbaijan registered 387 housing certificates worth 277.1 million manat, whose object was 81,830 square meter of areas, the State Committee for Securities.

"The decline on the mortgage securities market was 65.9 percent in 2009," the report says.

The number of certificates, issued, increased 122.4 percent compared to the same period last year, while the area of property sold through these certificates has increased by 4.5 times. The total amount of the registered certificates, hit the figure of the last year by19.6 times.

The report also said that 112 mortgage securities.

In this period, the bill was issued in the amount of 259.1 million manat, which exceeds the figure for the same period of the last year by 4.5 times.

On Sept. 12, the official exchange rate is 0.8033 manat to $1.
