Azeryolservis JSC of Azerbaijani Transport Ministry has announced a tender to select a consultant for the Bahramtepe-Bilasuvar road reconstruction project, a report posted in the Khalq newspaper on Wednesday said.
The consultant's tasks include preparing a feasibility study, detailed engineering, development of a report on the environmental and social impacts and the tender documentation.
Work will be performed through a $750 million loan granted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In general, the loan funds will be used for reconstruction of three road sections. Section A which involves restoration of the 156 kilometres long Mingachevir-Bahramtepe road, section B - restoration of the Bahramtepe-Bilasuvar road and section C is for the restoration of subsequent sections of regional roads in Azerbaijan.
Completion of the highway project is expected by December 31, 2016.
Companies willing to participate in the tender should submit their intention to participate by 17:00, February 7.
