Some 7000 trucks were imported into Azerbaijan in January-November 2013 which is 18.9 percent less than the same period of 2012, the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee said on Thursday.
The total cost of the imported trucks amounted to $82.8 million during the reporting period which was 58.5 percent less than in the same period of 2012.
In total, around 9432 trucks were imported to Azerbaijan in 2012 which exceeds the figure of 2011 by 52.7 percent. The total cost of trucks imported into the country in 2012 exceeded $213.4 million which was 45.6 percent more than in 2011.
Meanwhile, around 740 buses were imported into the country in January-November 2013 which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2012. The total cost of imported buses amounted to $34.5 million which was 28.6 percent less than in the same period of 2012.
There were 1038 buses imported into the republic in 2012 which is 58.5 percent more than in 2011. The total cost of imported buses amounted to $49.88 million which was 88.1 percent more than in 2011.
