Azerbaijan’s PMD Group company, specializing in asset management, real estate investments, as well as facility management, has begun to construct a new shopping center on the Baku Ring Road, Kamil Aliyev, head of the business expansion department of the company, told Trend.
The construction work is being carried out on a one hectare area, he added.
“The main advantage of this project is that its implementation will be able to meet the needs of the population in residential areas,” he said. “The population will be able to buy all the necessary goods in the nearest shopping center which will greatly save their time. Earlier, people had to go and do shopping in the central part of Baku.”
“Such facilities corresponding to the format of the district shopping centers are very popular in the West, Russia and Turkey,” he said. “Merry-go-round, cafes, restaurants will be built in the same shopping center. The necessary conditions will be created for pleasant pastime and relaxation.”
Aliyev stressed that the company plans to complete the construction of a new center by the end of next year.
The similar centers are planned to be built in a number of residential areas of Baku in the medium term.
PMD Group company has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2013.
