Iran has been with all friendly countries, neighbors, and the region during difficult times, and Iran and Qatar relations are not reflected by the third factor, said the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
Iran and Qatar cooperation have different aspects, all actions would be taken based on instructions. One of the principles in Iran's economic diplomacy is supporting domestic producers on abroad," said Saeed Khatibzadeh, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The Foreign Ministry would not do anything without cooperation with other organizations, Iran and Qatar ties in recent years were in high level, "he said responding to possible cooperation between two countries in planting saffron.
The official has also noted the possible agreement between Qatar and Saudi Arabia and its effect of Doha-Tehran relations.
"Iran would clearly welcome any solution for tensions in the Persian Gulf. Iranian Foreign Minister has also announced we would welcome solving the crisis, the UAE and Saudi Arabia path toward Qatar was bullying and there should be the solution for the issue and normalizing situation," he said.
Khatibzadeh has also commented on the new agreement between Iraq and Saudi Arabia and their effect on Tehran – Baghdad relations "Iran and Iraq ties have several layers that are organic and not artificial, if a country or power wants to change these relations it would face many obstacles, the two countries have long joint borders and common rituals," he said.
"Iran believes that Iraq ties with all neighbor countries would expand peace in the region and improve the situation of Iraqi people, but we do not comment on intentions of other countries," he noted.
The official also noted the recent comments on parliament's plan for Iran's possible withdrawal from the NPT 's additional protocol.
"There are many views in Iran but the official organizations are the authority to announce the system policy, Iran has been NPT member and will be unless there is a big event occur or the wrong move made from the other side," he added.
"Iran would continue cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Foreign Ministry is executive of decisions made in the system," he said.
"The statement issued by the Supreme National Security Council secretariat about the issue has explained that the views of the Foreign Ministry that is based on law should have been considered but it did not include (in the parliamentary bill)," he added.
