The export of goods from Azerbaijan to Tunisia in total amounted to $293.5 million over 10 months of 2020, which shows multiple increases compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The export operations of Azerbaijan with Tunisia were estimated at $23,000 last year. Thus, the share of Tunisia in the total export of Azerbaijan reached 2.4 percent.
However, by early November 2020, the import of Tunisian products to Azerbaijan decreased from $3.3 million to $2.8 million (16 percent) for the year.
The share of Tunisia in the total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.03 percent of the total volume, which remained unchanged compared to the same period of last year.
The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries amounted to $296.3 million, which is 88 times more compared to the same period of last year.
The balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Tunisia became positive over the reporting period, amounting to $290.7 million.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion over 10 months of 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
