Romania is interested in a more significant presence of its companies in the Caspian area, including on the Turkmen market, the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment of Romania told Trend.

“I want to highlight the interest of the Romanian producers of equipment for the oil and gas sector, such as UZTEL SA, CONFIND SA, or PETAL SA, recognized for the high quality of their products, to sell on the Turkmen market,” said the ministry.

“We would also like to see a more active presence in Romania of the companies from Turkmenistan,” added the ministry.

Romania expresses total openness at the political and governmental level for the development of cooperation relations with Turkmenistan, says the message, adding its convincement in the existence of a common interest in enhancing the possibilities for cooperation offered by the energy sector from Romania and Turkmenistan.

“In both countries, we have very good specialists in the energy sector and we can design energy projects mutually beneficial to support the economic development of our countries,” noted the Romanian ministry.

“We hope to be able to resume the bilateral dialogue, including in-person meetings, on energy topics as soon as possible, as they have an important role for the presentation of the business peculiarities of each country, as well as for the provision of concrete and relevant information to the Romanian and Turkmen companies and business organizations interested in these markets, trade opportunities and ways of accessing these markets in the region,” said the ministry.
