Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange declared

A total of 643,000 tons of goods worth more than 81 trillion rials (about $1.93 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (December 19 through December 24), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

However, 704,000 tons of goods worth more than 90 trillion rials (about $2.14 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (December 12 through December 17).

According to the report, 342,000 tons of goods worth about 47.3 trillion rials (about $1.13 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME in the last week.

"So, 331,000 tons of steel, 2,350 tons of aluminum, 5,530 tons of copper, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 15 tons of precious metal concentrate, 100 tons of cast iron, 5,000 tons of coal concentrate, and 21 kg of gold bars were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 298,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 33.6 trillion rials (about $801 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME in the last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 99,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 64,400 tons of bitumen, 61,200 tons of polymeric substances, 31,300 tons of chemicals, 27,000 tons of lube cut, 170 tons of glass facades, 2,030 tons base oil, 2,000 tons of slaps wax, 100 tons of argon, and 1,300 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 2,450 tons of various products were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
