BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 17. Iran's aluminum ingots output decreased by 1.81 percent, during the first two months the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the period in the last year, Trend reports.
Overall, four Iranian aluminum companies produced 112,767 tons of aluminum ingots in 2 months.
So, the South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) produced 49,220 tons of aluminum ingots, the Iranian Aluminum Company – 31,067 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company – 26,155 tons, and the Iran Alumina Company – 6,325 tons within the mentioned period.
In addition, the Iran Alumina Company produced 40,282 tons of aluminum oxide for two months, which is a decrease of 5 percent compared to 42,406 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Also, the Iranian Alumina Company produced 83,268 tons of bauxite in 2 months. This is an increase of 0.33 percent compared to 82,989 tons in the same period last year.
On average, Iran's annual aluminum ingot production capacity is about 700,000 tons.
Meanwhile, 632,166 tons of aluminum ingots were produced by four Iranian aluminum companies over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), which is an increase of 12.9 percent compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
