The Antimonopoly department of the Azerbaijan Economic development Ministry has revealed infringements of the existing legislation as a result of the distant sale of the goods, Trend reports referring to a message spread by the Economic development Ministry. Cases on deceiving consumers in the country have been recently occurred. Measures have been taken toward such economic subjects in accordance with the legislation of the Country.
As a result of the research and studies conducted by the Antimonopoly Department, it has become evident that some firms, made calls to the population allegedly in connection with their 10 year anniversary and announced their 50-60 % discounts. They were able to sell their goods to the population. The research and studies have showed that the products offered to the population were of a poor quality. The products were sold out without any guarantee and receipts. Also, the population could have bought the same production at a more convenient and cheaper price in other trade locations.
Such firms mainly sold steam irons, DVD-players, PC, Video and Audio players, and some other home appliances marked with labels of internationally-known producers of home appliances, while the most of the goods were made in China.
