Nissan U.S. sales down 1.6 percent in November

(autoinsidernews) - Nissan reported sales declined by 1.6 percent in November 2006 compared to the same month in 2005. While the Nissan brand recorded sales off 1.8 percent from last year, Infiniti posted a sales increase of 0.2 percent compared to the prior year, reports Trend.

Nissan's passenger car sales were up 13.2 percent year-over-year, led by the all-new Versa and Altima. But increases in cars weren't enough to make up for a 14.8 drop in light truck sales, with all vehicles posting lower November sales than last year.

Infiniti's passenger car sales were up 4.1 percent from last year with the all-new G35 leading the way with a 29.8 percent increase for its best November ever. The M also set a November record with sales of 2,015 units. Infiniti's SUV sales were off 8.1 percent.
