Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, 1.03mln tons of oil was exported via the northern pipeline route of Baku-Novorossiysk by 1 June, 2007. The oil transported through the pipeline is supplied by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
During the same period 10.7mln tons of oil was transported through Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC). BTC pumps high-gravity oil produced in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field.
Export of oil via the western route of Baku-Supsa is not implemented due to repair work.
The volume of oil transported by railway made up 2.4mln tons.
