Azerbaijan Ready to Hold Last Expert Coordination with Holland on Project of Agreement on Avoid Double Taxation

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / The Ministry of Finance of Holland announced the list of countries, including Azerbaijan, with which the country is planning to sign an agreement on information exchange in the tax realm by the end of 2007, Financiele Dagblad newspaper of Holland informed. The list includes twenty-nine countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Kenya, Libya, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Great Britain, Arab Emirates, and Turkey.

The Dutch Finance Ministry commenced a range of negotiations on development and signing such agreements. The agreement has already been signed with Great Britain and the Isle of Man.

The Azerbaijani Tax Ministry reported on 15 August that presently, it is expected that Holland will propose to hold the last expert consultation on the project of the Agreement to avoid double taxation.

Development of the document began seven or eight years before, while many changes have been introduced into the legislation of both countries, therefore we should hold additional agreements," the Ministry reported. The latest, the third round of negotiations, was held in July 2004.
