Kazakhstan, Astana, 11 August / Trend / Military actions in the Georgia-Ossetia conflict zone did not affect the volume of the Caspian oil and gas transit via the Georgian territory, Interfax reported.

According to the company's representative, risk factor has dramatically increased due to the recent events. However, transit of hydrocarbon crude to the world markets via the oil and gas export pipelines, built through Georgia, is going on in normal regime.

"Oil is being transported from Azerbaijan via the Baku-Supsa pipe and gas via the South Caucasus Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipe," an official of the agency said.

He said protection of the both pipelines had been intensified and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline had been suspended.
