Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 August/ Trend , corr E. Ismayilov/ A new filling station of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will be inaugurated in Gurdjaani (Georgia) on 29 August, Mahir Mammadov, director general of SOCAR Georgia said on 26 August.

"New filling station in Gurdjaani is expected to be opened on 29 August," Mammadov said.

New filling stations were opened in Teleti and Bolnisi on 23 August. The opening of filling station by SOCAR in Poti will become possible after traffic in this direction is normalized. The restrictions on traffic do not allow dispatching oil products to the station. The filling station was expected to become operational on 6 to 7 August; however, the conflict in Georgia hindered it.

The remaining part of filling stations of SOCAR in Georgia operates in normal regime. The oil products for the filling stations are dispatched till Tbilisi and are distributed among filling through motor transport onwards.

At present, SOCAR has 13 filling stations in Georgia.

SOCAR Georgia is 100% subsidiary of SOCAR.
