BP chief executive officer Robert Dudley arrived in Azerbaijan and held the talks with SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev, SOCAR told Trend today.

BP CEO Robert Dudley has held talks with SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev, SOCAR told Trend today.

During the meeting, Abdullayev approved the subcommittee's activities towards the development of the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" oil and gas fields that were established by a decision of the Steering Committee for the development of the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli". They were intended to initiate action and prepare short-and long-term plans for field development.

Abdullayev also stressed that the actions carried out jointly by SOCAR, BP and other project participants quickly create confidence in the stability and development.

During the meeting, Dudley also gave approval to the work carried out over the past three months on the stabilization of production volumes at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and thanked Azerbaijan for the assistance and support.

The company participates in large energy projects in Azerbaijan. In particular, the company is the operator of "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" development project, as well as the technical operator of the "Shah Deniz" development project. The company is also involved in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the South Caucasus gas pipeline.
