Loading/unloading activity at Iran's Anzali port up

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 13 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 120,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the ninth month. Of this, 36,400 tons were loaded and 83,400 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 35,400 tons of cargo were exported and 83,000 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 1,020 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for transit, as well as, 387 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the ninth month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 68,600 tons of essential products, 4,070 tons of metal products, 5,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,030 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 9,630 tons of chemicals, 24,900 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 4,570 tons of container products, and 81 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
