BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 27. Supplies of textile products from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan increased from January through August 2022,Trend reports with reference to the Uzbek State Committee of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
The value of export of textile products from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan in the first 8 months of 2022 amounted to $307.5 million, which is an increase of 23.5 percent over the same period in 2021 ($248.9 million).
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period ranked third among the countries of the world in terms of importing textile products from Uzbekistan.
The largest share of Uzbek textile exports from January through August this year fell on Russia ($823.7 million), followed by Türkiye ($410.7 million).
Meanwhile, the total trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to $756.5 million, which is an increase of 26.4 percent compared to the same period of last year ($598.2 million).
