Tajikistan's gold and currency reserves were evaluated of $ 972 million in 2012, which is $ 170.4 million more than in 2011, Asia-Plus reports on Tuesday, with reference to the head of National Bank of Tajikistan, Abdudjabbor Shirinov.
According to him, Tajikistan's gold reserves consist more than 11 tons of gold.
These reserves are stored in the National Bank of Tajikistan, as well as in European banks - in Switzerland, Germany, and the U.S. banks.
The amount of gold reserves in Tajikistan was estimated of $ 801.6 million in 2011, which makes 20.7% more than in 2010.
