The production of high-quality paving bitumen has been successfully developed at the Seydi oil refinery in eastern Turkmenistan, the online newspaper of the country’s Oil and Gas Complex reported.
This became possible due to the commissioning of an installation for production of paving bitumen with a capacity of 37,200 tons per year. The commissioning was carried out by Westport Trading Europe Limited (US).
“For Turkmenistan, this is the first installation, operation of which is based on visbreaking of oil stock that allows processing heavy petroleum residues,” according to the newspaper.
Introduction of visbreaking helped significantly increase the production of raw materials meeting modern requirements in the manufacture of high-quality asphalt concrete and also enhance the oil refining efficiency.
