BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 14. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are expanding cooperation in the space sector, Trend reports via the Agency for Space Research and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the international “Space Technology Conference STC-2022”, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Uzbekcosmos and Azercosmos space agencies of the two countries.
The cooperation of the parties provides for:
- Implementation of projects related to space technologies and space monitoring;
- Organization of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel for the further development of space activities in the country;
- Exchange of experience in the implementation and regulation of space monitoring;
- Send employees of Uzbekcosmos to the GIS (Geographic Information System) center of Azercosmos for advanced training in the GIS direction.
