Iran, good opportunity for Dutch firms' investments Iran's foreign minister

(IRNA) - Visiting Iranian Foreign Minister here Friday met and conferred with the new Dutch Economy Minister Joop Wijn, assuring him that opportunities in Iran for investment of Dutch firms are unique, reports Trend.

Mottaki further emphasized, "I encourage the Dutch firms to survey the broad existing potentials for making beneficial investments in your country, that would secure mutual economic interests, and meanwhile help the two countries expand bilateral ties."

Referring to the noticeable increase of the two countries' trade volume in recent years, Mottaki said, "I had talks with managers of some Dutch firms during this visit, which were constructive and positive."

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is determined to expand ties and cooperation with Holland, particularly in energy, water management, and infrastructure fields.

The Dutch Economy Minister, too, during the meeting reiterated, "The Dutch firms, too, are eager to keep working with Iran and to expand their trade ties with your country."

Wijn added that it was necessary to finalize the two countries' agreement on promotion and support for mutual investments, considering it a positive sign for both countries' will for expansion of trade ties.

Mottaki and Wijn also briefly reviewed some of the two countries' shared business plans, and surveyed possibilities for initiating joint economic project in some third countries, including in Iran's neighbor counties.
