The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) surged by 24.5 percent over the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20) compared to the same period of last year.
According to the latest statistics released by the Central Bank of Iran, the main index reached 98817 points in the ten-month period ending Jan. 20.
In the meantime, compared to the preceding month the main index added 3.5 percent.
TSE financial index declined 10 percent to rest at 133996 in the mentioned period.
TSE industrial index hiked 30.6 percent to stand at 87381, top 50 performers index increased by 31.2 percent posting 4120, the first market index rose by 24.7 percent reaching 70584, and second market index increased by 24.5 percent resting at 208562.
The number of the traded shares slumped 9.2 percent as 181.409 billion shares changed hands in the mentioned period.
Market capitalization saw a 17.7 percent increase, reaching 3.9 quadrillion rials (about $100 billion on the official rate).
