Iran welcomes the restoration of communication routes in the region within the framework of respecting the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of all countries in the South Caucasus, the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani said at a press conference in Tehran on September 9, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran supports sustainable peace in the South Caucasus within the framework of its neighborhood policy.
Tehran believes this structure can help strengthen sustainable peace and stability in the region.
“Iran seriously supports the 3+3 mechanism in the South Caucasus as an example of a unified regional mechanism in the direction of regional cooperation between the South Caucasus and neighboring countries.
In this direction, meetings have been organized and will be held based on the coordination achieved among the members,” he added.
