The number of tourists from Kazakhstan traveling to Georgia from January through October 2021 increased by 353.1 percent to 57,015 visitors, compared to 12,582 people over the same period of 2020, Trend reports via Georgian National Tourism Administration.
Meanwhile, the same indicator decreased by 33.8 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to first 10 months of 2019, when 86,161 people visited Georgia from Kazakhstan.
Thus, Kazakhstan ranks 8 among TOP-10 main countries of origin for tourists arriving in Georgia, the report said.
The total number of incoming international visitors to Georgia from January through October 2021 amounted to 1.5 million people, which is a decrease of 7.7 percent, compared to 1.6 million over the same period of 2020.
According to the statistics, the same index dropped by 79 percent in the reporting period of 2021, compared to 6.6 million over first 10 months of 2019.
