Israeli military police called for four more Palestinian witnesses to testify for the girls killing case in Gaza-Israeli clash this January, local sources said on Saturday, Xinhua reported.
Khaled Abed Rabbo, whose two daughters were killed and one daughter wounded in January's clash, was asked on Saturday to inform four more witnesses to his case to testify before Israeli criminal investigators.
The four witnesses, including an ambulance driver and a man who lost his son while trying to evacuate the dead girls away with his donkey cart, were asked to go to Erez crossing points on Monday.
On Sept. 2, Khaled, father of Amal, 2, and Suad, 7, headed for Erez crossing and met with the Israeli investigators to testify about the killing of his two daughters by an Israeli soldier on Jan. 7.
"They asked me many questions about the incident with lots of details, such as the color of the soldiers' boots," Abed Rabbo said.
Earlier, just after the end of the 23-day military operation on Jan. 18, Khaled's story hit the headline, telling how an Israeli soldier emerged from a tank and shot at his daughters, wife and mother just after they stepped out from their house with white flags in response to the tank crew's orders.
Israel decided to open an investigation into this case following a joint complaint by three Palestinian human rights organizations.
On Thursday, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said Israel's decision to investigate the case was "a positive development."
