The export of carpets from Turkey to Azerbaijan decreased by 35.7 percent from January through November 2020, compared to the same period of 2019, amounting to $4.46 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
In November 2020, the export of carpets from Turkey to Azerbaijan decreased by 28.8 percent compared to November 2019 and amounted to $713,000, said the ministry.
In 11M2020, Turkey’s export of carpets to world markets increased by 0.3 percent compared to 11M2019, totaling over $2.31 billion.
At the same time, Turkey’s carpet exports accounted for 1.5 percent of the country's total exports.
In November 2020, Turkey exported $257 million worth of carpets to global markets, which is 2.4 percent more than in the same month of 2019. In this month, exports of carpets from Turkey in November 2020 accounted for 1.6 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (from November 2019 through November 2020), Turkey exported carpets worth over $2.54 billion abroad.
