Russian search engine Yandex rejects Iranian minister's statements about opening an office in Tehran.

"Currently we have no plans to open new offices," Yandex press office told Trend Oct. 26.

Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said on Oct. 25 that the company plans to open offices in Iran.

Talking on the sideline of a meeting with Russian Minister of Communications Nikolai Nikiforov, Vaezi said it was agreed that Yandex would open an office in Iran to optimize its services for the Iranian people.

Meanwhile Yandex emphasized that the company is open to new cooperation opportunities.

"We are always ready to discuss new opportunities for partnership," the company's press office underlined.
