Quake hits Iranian Kerman province

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hits Rigan County of Iranian Kerman province today, ILNA agency reported.

As Mehr news agency reported, tremors were recorded at 02:21 local time. No dead and injured are reported as a result of the earthquake.

Strong earthquakes often take place in Iran.

On Aug.11, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake rocked Iran's East Azerbaijan Province, killing more than 300 people and injuring about 2,500.
